There is a way back to your Self.
Hi, I’m Jessi, a trauma therapist based in Nashville, Tennessee. My own healing journey led me to Internal Family Systems (IFS), giving me a way to know and love all the parts of myself. I wasn’t just unburdening the parts of me who were desperately coping, I was bringing in calm, connectedness, compassion, and choice I never realized was available to me.
My advanced, evidence-based training in body-based approaches to trauma, system regulation, and relational healing, along with my own firsthand experience of this work allow me to meet you, not just as a skilled therapist, but as someone who understands the work from the inside out.
Today, I work with adults navigating complex trauma, addictive processes, relational wounds, and the impact of high-control systems. My approach is relational and direct. I hope to create a space where you feel both deeply safe and gently challenged, where all parts of you are welcome, and where real, lasting change becomes possible.
Healing, to me, is an unbecoming.
You were born whole and good. This work is the process of putting down what was never yours to carry; the process of letting go of over-responsibility. This might include trauma, inherited beliefs, or roles you had to take on to survive.
By compassionately moving towards your wounds, we can often get you relief - helping parts of you to be free from their burdens and moving towards Self-awareness, Self-love, and a Self-led system. Each of us has a core Self that is incorruptibly good and knows how to heal.
You may feel as if you’ve lost yourself within relationships or systems that required you to abandon who you truly are. By reclaiming the Self, you’ll experience profound shifts in your emotional well-being and relationships, helping you live a fuller, more peaceful life.
This often shows up as:
Complex PTSD (C-PTSD)
Addictive processes and recovery
Codependency and emotional sobriety
Religious harm or recovery from high-control environments
Relational trauma and attachment wounds
My work is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and supported by:
Somatic Attachment Therapy
Somatic Attachment Focused EMDR
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
This is integrative, body-aware work that honors both your internal world and the systems you’ve been shaped by.
body-centered approach & Lived Experience
My work is deeply informed by both clinical training and lived experience.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years teaching yoga and studying the body. I was trained to notice subtle patterns in movement, tension, and alignment, and over time, it became clear that we cannot hide our emotional experiences from our bodies.
Yoga can be a healing practice for the physical body, mind, and spirit. Traumatic experiences live in the body and somatic body-based treatments can be effective in reducing symptoms and increasing feelings of safety, stability, choice, connection, and confidence.
This awareness continues to shape my work today. Alongside Internal Family Systems (IFS), I integrate Somatic Attachment and Somatic Attachment Focused EMDR. This allows us to work not only with your thoughts and experiences, but also with how those experiences are held in your nervous system
My clinical work is also supported by my own ongoing healing. I am deeply rooted in the 12 steps of Al-Anon and continue to engage in Somatic Attachment IFS therapy myself.
This work is a good use of my healing wounds and has expanded my hope and belief in everyone’s capacity to heal and thrive.
